UC Health is centered around connecting research, clinical trials, care teams, and ongoing wellness — all to create a path to new possibilities. As one of the leading medical research centers in the country, they like to push the edge of what is possible. In all their growth and discovery, they came to us asking for help reorganizing and positioning their online presence to match the force that they are in medical care and research.
The challenge
UCHealth had a major technical challenge. To streamline the transition of their health network to a new CMS, we designed and reorganized the site's IA and built a clean, modular design system that could assist patients in navigating the site and connecting them with the care they need. The design captured the “In Science Lives Hope” platform that balanced the emotional aspect of care with the more functional and academic purposes of UC Health.
The results
UC Health has been thrilled with the ongoing transition of their legacy site, which was built in WordPress to AEM (Adobe Experience Manager). This process includes working with development to ensure that the front-end connects with the complex back-end data of the health network. Partnership across creative, development, and the client follows an agile workflow to meet new user and business needs as they arise.
